IVLK-9e Haukka (Hawk) UKSN War Fighter
Designed in 1933 as the next generation fighter for Se Suomi Imperiumi Ilmailuvoimein. Rapid improvements in terms of power plant, armament, maneuverability and and armament led to over 320 aircraft, in its various types, being available at the start of the United Kingdom of Sweden & Norway War. While outperformed in terms of propulsion, and in some cases armament, pilot training and maneuverability allowed the pilots and aircraft of Suomi to rack up the kills against its SAAB J.19 Light Fighter contemporary between 1935 and 1937. It further went on to perform magnificently against its heavier Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth contemporaries in 1938 & 1939. It remained in service through to 1944 when it was gradually phased out of front line service, refurbished and put to work as an Intermediate Trainer (See the IVLK-9f) or handed over to their colonial defense forces.
