Volotok VF-17 Volff FLAF
The Volotok VF-17 Volff, introduced in 1975, is a twin-engine air superiority fighter developed for the Frostia Liberation Air Force (FLAF) and named in honor of General Volff Mirukhin (1894–1962). Mirukhin was a key figure in Frostia's liberation following its conflict with Russia during the 1920 Russian Civil War, making the aircraft a symbol of national pride and resilience.
Designed with advanced avionics and robust engines for the time, the VF-17 was Frostia’s response to the growing need for a capable fighter to secure its airspace and project power in the region. The aircraft underwent several modernization programs, equipping it with upgraded radar, improved missiles, and enhanced maneuverability, ensuring its relevance well into the 21st century. Celebrated for its reliability and combat performance, the VF-17 became the backbone of the FLAF and a symbol of Frostia's technological independence and military strength.
