Flag of Angola

18.4k FlagsWorldwide  4.8 years ago

This is the flag of Angola! The large nation that fills the gap in between the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Zambia, and Namibia. Angola is a Portuguese-speaking nation. Angola is a big country, ranking in at the 7th largest country in Africa, and the 23rd largest in the world. Angola is bigger than Egypt, Somalia, South Africa, and Nigeria. Angola is actually larger than Turkey, Morocco, and the Bahamas...combined. The machete and partial gear wheel are inspired by the world-famous hammer and sickle symbol. This symbol represents the industrial and agricultural workers. Yellow symbolizes the nation's mineral wealth. The red and black stand for 'freedom and death'. I don't know about you, but Angola's flag is pretty cool! 🇦🇴

Zambia... one of the only country's that has both a queen and chieftains... also one of the few country's that doesn't have a unified government.
