In early 1931, the Teyvat Air Force ordered 6 units of Carid P.22-1, all considered surplus from previous users. This variant, the Carid P.22-5 replaces the larger calibre cannon with a 25 mm cannon to accomodate more ammunition in exchange for loitering time and operational range. It was in use as a dive bomber from 1932 up to its retirement 1936 after Teyvat procured Ju 87As.
Teyvat procured hulls no. 16, 17, 19, 22 and spares 23 and 28. Hull number 16 survives unpainted.
Here shown is hull no. 22 which served from 1930 to 1934 in Carmen Dei livery (counterpart of blue-yellow livery of USAAC).
