The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II is a single-seat, twin-turbofan, straight-wing, subsonic attack aircraft. It's been in service since 1977 and is commonly referred to as the "Warthog" or "Hog". The A-10 is the most heavily armed and armored plane in history. It's designed to deliver ordnance at low altitude and can be used against light maritime attack aircraft and all ground targets.
