The DIXIE 410-OWL-F was a Recon/Light Bomber built during 1917-18 for the perpose of imaging behind enemy lines and bomb low priority targets. The Owl was fitted with 2x 125lb bombs for light bombing and one machine gun mounted to the engine for defence and a Camera which was fitted with adjustable lenses so the camera operator could take close up images.
