I don't know what this is but it works!
If they don't have flaps I beleive they would be structural wings. But I don't think they are particularly solid. @MSB4000
@Lylian Don't remember where I got them. Built a million pound plane one and normal wings would fall off. They also help with fast planes with long wings. They don't flap up and down. I will make a post with them so you can have them.

@MSB4000 Unfortunately, there is no coding that specifies how strong an object is. This is one of the only things that I beleive are currently impossible in XML modding. Very sorry about that.
@Lylian when I mount over powered engines to them they break. Hinge fails or block fails not sure. Use them for steering on a uss tiny jet pack project.
