Auto Credit Based on RamboJutter's Pierre Drolet Viper 2.1

The Pierre Drolet Viper is a fictional forward swept wing, twin engined fighter inspired by the P-40 Warhawk, built by "RamboJutter", this design was based on concept art obtained from the "Pierre Drolet Sci-Fi Museum" gallery and came to light after a fellow SP user requested RamboJutter to replicate a model of the aircraft depicted in it.

Upon seeing RJ's replica, the most prominent feature (or lack thereof) that caught my eye was the design's need for canards, as the forward swept wings were set too far back for such an aircraft to be aerodynamically feasible, therefore RJ and I set about to make separate airframe refits to include the missing foreplanes after having described how the aircraft should be modified, culminating in two versions.

In this modified variant, I included the canards that best fit my description, rearward swept with a slight anhedral, wing tips tapering to a rounded end, and being one third the span of the main wings.

Other edits include XML changes to increase engine horsepower, fixed blade pitch of 70%, a considerable reduction in the propellers' maximum RPM as they spun far too fast, leading to violent flutter in low physics settings, and a dragScale reduction of 62% to account for the decrease in prop RPM.

The aircraft's flight characteristics remain true to that of the original and the rest of the controls remain unchanged. A small yet powerful airbrake was mounted internally to account for the low drag during landing approaches, the design now has a sea level top speed of approx 480 miles per hour.

@CenturiVonKikie hahaha he knows I love his builds. It’s great the way he made it but I love canards so it’s great to see them on this too

@Mustang51 yeah I'm pretty simple with my planes so something like this wouldn't come from me, I love the compliment and I'm sure @RamboJutter would appreciate that being said of his build.

Okay I just realised it’s mostly a revision of another build but these canards on it really make it what it is. They exponentially increase how cool this looks

This is absolutely fantastic! I have an unfinished build similarish to this but damn this is much more creative! One of the coolest looking WWII conceptions on the whole of SimplePlanes and I really mean that! Beautiful build

@RamboJutter thanks, the canards are just all-moving fuselage pieces. I didn't see the need for adding actual airfoils to them since you made the craft fly pretty well by default, though that's always an option.

Looks good, ill download it later to give it a try, I think I prefer your canards to be fair.
