The second in the "Mach" series, this aircraft was much more stable and reliable, the aim being more for aerodynamic instead of pure engine power. It was made as a replacement to the Mach 1 which was known even more for its unreliability and the USA quickly built many of these aircraft and sold the Mach 1 to other countries.
