Boxcars

.

This locomotive began life in the Sanford-Springvale area in Maine. The ASL was a electric railroad that mainly moved passengers to Kennebunk and coal from Cape Porpoise.

.

This is one of the two surviving wooden Steeple Cab locomotives in North America, and the only survivor of the ASL. It was purchased in 2006 by the Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunk, Maine, which owns part of the track that it ran on in the 1900's. It took 3 years for the restoration to be completed.

.

It's now one of the few dozen pieces of American history that the museum owns. It received a new paintjob and smaller upgrades, such as headlight repositioning and boxes at the ends.
