After the loss against PADE in the JPAA Successor contract, EAD began improving upon the prototype airframe they originally developed, and announced they are manufacturing the EPF A-1 (Emergency Parasite Fighter) A-1. The fighter is to be deployed in mass numbers, making up for it's lack of sufficient armament. Groups of 6+ are deployed to intercept a threat depending on the number of enemy contacts or severity of a situation (Bombers or Enemy Assault Aircraft).
The airframe is capable of mass production, using up the least amount of materials possible while maintaining sufficient effectiveness and reliability. This allows for large numbers to be built in the least amount of time
