Edgley EA-7 Optica

840 InfiniteChimp  6.9 years ago

One of the strangest-looking aircraft ever built, the Optica was designed as a low-cost alternative to helicopters for police work. It could loiter at speeds as low as 70mph and its insect-like bubble cockpit gave the crew the sort of panoramic view needed to provide police air support. The performance of the aircraft here has been buffed to make it more flyable in Simple Planes, and the cockpit is not rendered accurately as modelling it would have been more work than I really want to put in.
