RDG “Hoplite” EB-11
in 2046, following the nuclear war, almost all petrolium stores had been destroyed, and jet engines; consuming too much fuel, were phased out. Instead, militaries around the world started reinventing propeller engines, tuning them to incredible efficiency and power. It was at this time that MMC Aerospace and Thimitrios Korfu unveiled their collaboration codenamed ‘Greenmoth’ in response to the RAF call for a long-range, heavy bomber capable of delivering a 15,000lb (6,803kg) payload and executing low-altitude ground attacks. The RDG “Hoplite” EB-11 entered military and navy service in 2046, 2 months after its unveiling; and was an immediate success. It housed four incredibly powerful 12,000HP engines designed by Thimitrios Korfu to lift the massive craft, and also featured twin 6,740lbf Aerospace ‘Amanda’ T80 internal engines used for forward flight. Housing many innovations, the Thimitrios Korfu III engines consumed propane fuel instead of petroleum, allowing it to carry much more fuel than other aircraft of the time (as fuel was scarce in the post-apocalyptic era), but also made the “Hoplite” slow; only capable of reaching speeds of 142mph (228km/h). It made up for it, however, by carrying one of the largest payloads and heaviest armour ever seen on a helicopter, making it an incredibly efficient attacker on surface units. Able to engage at both short and long range, the “Hoplite” was praised by crews for its reliability and protection; making it one of the greatest combat aircraft of the post-nuclear era.
Controls
- Pitch for vertical axis rotation

This is a very cool design I would love a Vtol version like a four prop V-22 Osprey!
@Rodrigo110 NP
Thankyou @BreadOnButter
This has a lot of detail. Very nice!
@Rodrigo110 np
Thanks a lot @twv23
wow and cool
Thanks; but sorry about the lag. Usually I try to keep the part count down but in this one I just wanted to go all out @Potkuri
Wonderful interior but It is very laggy on my ipad.
Great thanks! @DarthAbhinav
If you read the description it explains why @LiamW
Really cool but i dont think theyll be using radialengines in 2046
Ok, thanks for the advice. I’ll try it in the next build @CoolPeach
Generally planes are streamlined for the sake of aerodynamics, you may want to consider advancing to building a panelled fusalage using fusalage blocks (like my B-17 or REW's Boeing 737 if you know what I mean). However, since it is a fictional build, you aren't constrained to any of these conditions, but would make your builds look more appealing to the eye in terms of form.
@Rodrigo110
Very nice, unique. Love the cockpit and interior too. @Rodrigo110
@Lylian ok thanks!
I’m gonna try making something big to. If U ever need more XML objects for something like this, feel free to ask. Sorry there have been delays. First if, I now know what I’m doing XML mod wise, and I should be less beasy now. If you have steam, you should try this: https://www.simpleplanes.com/a/DmhuUV/Steam-key-Amazon-gift-card-challenge
@Lylian @BusterShortWolf thanks! I put a lot of effort into it!
@Rodrigo110 Sure? Thats up to you but im sure everyone else "mobile wise" would love to test this beast
Nice. I’v been waiting so long for it to be out.
I love it!
Thanks! I can make a mobile friendly version if you want? I’ll have it ready in about 10 hours @4404
When you see an awesome helicopter and think its mobile friendly. Good job tho :)
