THE A-7 WAS DEVELOPED DURING THE EARLY 1960S AS REPLACEMENT FOR THE DOUGLAS A-4 SKYHAWK. ITS DESIGN WAS DERIVED FROM THE VOUGHT F-8 CRUSADER.
