Hyperjet 2200 HyperGate: 2,200mph SSC
This is a supersponic car that's capable of 2,200mph in the Max Ground Speed Challege. Throttle up, press 1 at 50% fuel to release the car, and WARP. On a long enough straight, like the Salt Flats map, I've had it up to 2,800mph. Sometimes, it will fly off the airstrip and reach speeds up to 4,000mph in air. In case this happens, I've also installed a parachute, press 2 to activate. The apparatus around the car is what I call a hypergate, and it basically counter acts the thrust of the main engines, allowing you to spool up completely before take off. IT'S NOT PERFECT yet, so it might take a couple of tries to get a good run in. It uses 4 banks of MODIFIED SR-71 jet engines, everything else is standard issue. I suspect more versions in the future to perfect it, but if anyone else wants to tune it feel free!

Basically the hypergate will fly up into the sky, ideally, and slowly float back down into the water. Hopefully by then you've cleared the airstrip!
