Vertical takeoff: full throttle, while pulling back on pitch. Aircraft will pitch forward, and then level out. Once leveled out, use VTOL and pitch to control pitch, and then fly!
For normal takeoff, slide VTOL up, and then follow standard takeoff procedures.
