50sChallengeReborn
Designed 1952, made by SAAB, The Viggen was initially developed as an intended replacement for the Saab 32 Lansen in the attack role and later the Saab 35 Draken as a fighter.
In 1955, as Saab's prototype Draken, the most aerodynamically advanced fighter in the world at that point, performed its first flight, the Swedish Air Force was already forming a series of requirements for the next generation of combat aircraft; due to the challenging nature of these requirements, a lengthy development time was anticipated, with the first flight intended to be no early than the middle of the next decade.
Between 1952 and 1957, the first studies towards what would become the Viggen were carried out, involving the Finnish aircraft designer Aarne Lakomaa.
As before, the supplied weapons wont lock onto the hardpoints supplied and when they do the wont release on firing and stay attached to the aircraft (fun times), maybe its just the way I build things???? Anyway I think this meets the criteria barring the weapons loadout, feel free to add them yourself. =)

@RamboJutter yes it´s true, but it was put into service in the 70s (2 decades later...) and it does not carry weapons ...

If you do decide to buy it, I'd wait until one of their (relatively frequent) 50% off sales @RamboJutter
@Wahoo12 no I don't, might have a look now you have mentioned it though
@RamboJutter do you play DCS World? You can fly the Viggen in it in full fidelity with tons of clicky switches
@Tang0five SAAB have always been magical wizards of aircraft. All aircraft are able to fly from Bas 60 and Bas 90 roads too.
Can’t believe this was a product of the 50s. Looks so futuristic. Great job!
