The Convair B-36 Peacemaker was a Korean War era Strategic/Reconnaissance bomber. It was designed at the end of WWII and had its first flight in August, 1946. During the Korean War it was mainly used as a recon plane despite its huge bomb load. The Peacemaker was removed from service as the B-52 was introduced as the new strategic bomber. Now there only a few B-36's still in existence in museums.
