The Deathadder is a heavy air superiority starfighter used by the Continuum Navy and a favorite go-to starfighter by more experienced Navy pilots. Unlike the Taipan light fighter, the Deathadder sports thicker armor, additional weapon hardpoints, more powerful sublight engines, a much better electronics suite, and a small FTL drive for short-range jumps. The Deathadder can also serve as both an air superiority fighter and a support gunship thanks to its unique design. While it is a formidable fighter, it is rather expensive to produce, and it takes a bit of finesse and expertise to conduct maintenance on a single unit.
