This variant of the GI. 4-3 Super Salamander was part of a lesser known project for the series, the X project. Utlizing special experimental engines, which could reach unimaginable speeds. The omly flaws with this project that costed it it's funding and support by the government were fuel, extreme stress on the wings after it went past 3000 mph, and cost.
