Electromagnetic Motor Mk. 3 - Bi-directional w/Auto-Brake
Comes in two versions:
Red - heavy duty motor capable of moving large vehicles.
Blue - lightweight version for when you don't need much power but the weight is important.
Each one has 5 attachment points for convenience.
Original plane design by Chancey21
Characteristics:
- Red version - 14,077 lbs | 98 parts
- Blue version - 3,162 lbs | 89 parts
Speed comparison:
Left to right: infinite rotator with 100% speed; Mark 1; Mark 3 (current)
Size comparison:
Left to right: Mark 1; Mark 2; Mark 3 (current)
Controls
- Trim to choose direction (move slider to the very last notch):
Up - counter-clockwise
Down - clockwise - AG1 - start motor.
Please allow the motor to fully (more or less) stop before changing direction.
The directions can be inverted by inverting two orange rotators inside the motor. If you want to use different AG to run it, make sure you change this not only for the magnets, but for the pistons as well (by editing XML properties).
Notes:
- Both motors should be attached to a stable construction that can counteract the torque produced when the motor starts. Otherwise it may start spinning in wrong direction.
- These motors don't work very well together. So, if you want to test them, either place one of them on separate base or remove it completely.
- May not work on low or medium physics (wasn't tested).
- It's the last one from me, I promise :)

@SpiritusRaptor heeeey thank you!
@iwannabeelected i dunno i just accidentally found it when im upgrading my electromagnetic motor...
@0n33 how is it possible?
@iwannabeelected its possible to repel magnets but its not for universal use wherein you can create a hover board with repelling magnets..
Hopefully they add it @iwannabeelected
@Kitten777 no :) If only they could repel each other... Maybe some kind of a rail gun? I think it may work
Hey @iwannabeelected do you have any idea for what I should try next with magnets?
@SnoWFLakE0s I'm not really sure I understood you correctly, but thank for your words and for the upvote! It always amazes me how some pretty crappy builds get more upvotes than really clever ones (I'm not talking about myself here, but in general). And you know what, sometimes perfect is the enemy of good.
It's a shame I haven't discovered your profile earlier, because your builds are awesome and I'm gonna give you some upvotes!
@iwannabeelected At this point, with all the big builders developing new methods of producing thrust, I feel kinda sad... I keep doing a lot of these and never can perfect it. Simple genius good sir, deserves more upvotes but anything that isn't "cool" won't get attention.
@Kerbango thank you! :)
@ThomasRoderick @goboygo1 @tylerdeveneuxmusic @marcox43 thank you for upvotes, guys!
@IGNikolaev thank you!
Oh already? Cool.@iwannabeelected
K good to know.@iwannabeelected
@StuffBuilder thank you!
@AerialFighterSnakes done :D
@AerialFighterSnakes lol, apparently it's possible and flies quite well! I'm just gonna refine the design and will post it later
@AerialFighterSnakes not sure it is possible, but I'm gonna try :)
@Avro683Lancaster thank you!
Oh the technology. You should make an electromagnetic helicopter.
@EliteArsenals24 thank you! And thank you for the upvote and the spotlight!
@ZHUAREVONI @SpiritusRaptor @destroyerP @BaconAircraft thank you!
Awesome.
Np btw I was wrong not just a lil faster ... 2X if not 3X! @iwannabeelected
Yep, maybe a submarine @iwannabeelected
