SS Eurodam 1949-1957
“The war has passed, and the world of shipping is entering a new age, perhaps a golden one. Some old classics like Aquitania have left us to the scrapyard, and the Eurodam is the only four funneled luxury liner left in commision. Although on the outside she appears antiquated compared to the likes of Île De France, United States, Queen Mary, the newly commisioned Queen Elizabeth, and especially the Nieuw Amsterdam, her interiors still maintain popularity amongst travelling Dutch and American passengers. Despite her age, she still is faring good passenger numbers and is still quite beloved by first class travelers, forming a two ship service with Niuew Amsterdam on voyages from Rotterdam to New York, Eurodam being the faster of the two. However, the idea of a replacement ship for Eurodam is on the drawing board, possibly sealing the fate of the last four stacked liner in service.” - De Telegraff, translated into English, 1954. Here is the SS Eurodam’s final livery from 1949-1957, where she was retired and sent to Nassau, Bahamas to become a floating hotel and restauraunt where she still stands as of 2021. Technical Details: Eurodam is powered purely by 3 turboprop propellors with no jets inside the hull or superstructure like other builds. This as a result will make her slow to start so do be patient when putting her in the water. She isnt remarkable feature wise, no missile smoke, mods, nothing, so don’t expect a fancy display. Also note that there’s also not much differences in this model from the other versions, just an aesthetic change. With that being said, feel free to download and enjoy the SS Eurodam pack! Coming soon: Blank Base for customization, and Lit Up version.
