About Camair-Co:

The Cameroon Airlines Corporation, trading as Camair-Co, is an airline from Cameroon, serving as flag carrier of the country, a role which was previously filled by the now-defunct Cameroon Airlines. Camair-Co has its headquarters in the Immeuble La Rotonde in Douala, and operates out of Douala International Airport. The airline has never made a profit, and is struggling under the weight of its debts; most of its aircraft are currently grounded. The company slogan is French: L'étoile du Cameroun, The Star of Cameroon.

About TJ-CAC:

TJ-CAC did Camair-CO’s inaugural flight from Douala International Airport (DLA/FKKD) to Paris’ Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG/LFPG) via Yaoundé’s Nsimalen International Airport (NSI/FKYS) on 28/3/2011. TJ-CAC is the sole Boeing 767-300ER in its entire fleet, being passed down from Cameroon’s past flag carrier, Cameroon Airlines.

The official website of Camair-Co states:
“The airline's Boeing 767-300 ER has operated scheduled and charter flights to intercontinental destinations for several years. Pending its conversion into a cargo aircraft, its superior range and transport capabilities will now make this aircraft a key pillar of Camair-Co Cargo's operations.” This was translated from French.

This specific aircraft had its first flight on 5/1/2001, is 24.1 years old, and was tested at Everett’s Paine Field International Airport (PAE/KPAE), with the MSN being 28138, and the line number being 822.

This specific aircraft has currently been in service with the following airlines:
- Cameroon Airlines, from 19/1/2001 - 11/11/2009, with the registration TJ-CAC
- Camair-Co, since 11/11/2009 (28/3/2011 in schedules services), with the registration TJ-CAC
- The aircraft has been stored at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport (ADD/HAAB) since 12/1/2018.

This aircraft has been stored at the apron of Addis Ababa’s Airport, and has been missing its right engine. Its fate remains unknown, but Camair-Co states it’s going to be turned into a freighter for their cargo operations.
