The "New Andosnian Republic Super Sonic Bomber" 01 Hydra, known as a plethora of other names such as the Banshee, Wraith, Reaper, and Poltergeist to name a few, is a quad engine bomber developed by Andosnia in the late 1980's as an intercontinental strategic bomber in the event that the cold war between Andosnia and Yassia ever came to a full attack. Earlier models of the aircraft proved to be of little success due to high stall speeds, farther set back center of mass and high fuel consumption, however in 1988 the first stable variant was produced and flown a successful 3,387 miles from Kavesgrad Airfield - Andosnia's northernmost airbase to Alkinstov - the former capital of Andosnia. A total of 1,204 (54 Wide layer models) aircraft were made from the time span of 1990 through 2010, when all bombers were ordered to be stored in massive hangars in the southern end of the nation, being done so, 80% of Andosnian military funding went into conserving the Andosnian air force for after the planetfall of the 1993MDX0204 Asteroid, a cosmic body that was measured at approx. 19.3 miles wide and 17.2 miles long . On November 17th 2013 the Asteroid reached the Roche limit of Earth and was torn apart into two major segments - nicknamed Fenrir and Osiris, Fenrir being the largest made planetfall over Nordenvoks northern sea, causing a death toll of well over 13,000,000 , Osiris impacted the mid western "green zone" of Andosnia, unfortunately being the most populated region of the nation, the death toll was well over 25,000,000 and a near irreversible economic destruction due to Osiris breaking up even further - spreading the amount of area it hit, causing not only an immediate death toll, but further deaths by famine and disease due to the most fertile soil being nothing but a wasteland full of ash, meteorite melt and craters.

After nearly half a decade of struggling to stay together, the Nation of Andosnia was no more - riots, assassinations, and total upheaval which lead to a coup d'etat, plunging the country into a deadly civil war, further raising the death toll when what remained of Andosnia ordered the Andosnian Air Force to recover the bombers commence in massive fire bombing campaigns eventually to the point of Nuking the city of Alkinstov which at the time was being controlled by the new rebellion forces that planned to completely separate from Andosnia.

After more grueling civil wars from all angles, Andosnia was forced to abandon its southern half -being even further of a drain on its already near non existent economy, and due to the massive pressure, Andosnia was forced to turn to Yassia for help, however, Yassia refused as years prior, Andosnia refused to sign a treaty that would have helped rebuild economic structure amongst the afflicted nations due to fears that the nation would have been the one paying out most the damages of the other parties. With certain doom looming over the nation, Andosnia did the unthinkable and launched a blitzkrieg at Nordenvok in attempt to take command of its rich oilfields and port cities.
