M41 Walker Bulldog
The M41 Walker Bulldog (original name) is a light tank manufactured in the United States (1947). It was developed to replace the M24 Chaffee. Its name is a tribute to General Walton Walker, killed in a car accident in Korea. The modernized version developed in Brazil was designated M 41C Caxias by the Brazilian Army. The M41 is an agile and well-armed tank. It has many features of the M24, it had great road speed, reliable and easily repaired, its entirely welded turret has great features. On the other hand, it is noisy, has high fuel consumption and is heavy enough to cause problems for air transport. In August 1960, the M41 arrived in Brazil, which at the time operated the M3 Stuart and M3 Lee tanks, already considered obsolete during the Second World War, and the M4 Sherman, also a protagonist in the global conflict.
