Ruhrstahl X-4 Missile
The Ruhrstahl X-4 Missile was a missile that was built in WWII by the germans. It was a wire guided missile the would be launched from an aircraft and would be controlled by the pilot and would have to get close to allied bombers. The Ruhrstahl X-4 had a detonation range of 7 meters but was never in mass production due to lack of resources and the fact that it was tricky to fly a plane and guide a missile. Testing were done in FW-190s and the Germans wanted to have it on 2-engined aircraft for stabilty in flying and guiding the missile. One aircraft that would have hard points to house the missiles was the TA-183 but the war ended before any were completed.
