[About Mitsubishi J2M3 Raiden]

Wikipedia
The Mitsubishi "Raiden"(which means "Lightning Bolt" in Japanese) was an interceptor fighter operated by the Imperial Japanese Navy during the Pacific War.
During the Sino-Japanese War, the Imperial Japanese Navy was frequently bombed by bombers flying at high altitude over its ground bases and was unable to shoot them down. In response, in 1939 the Imperial Japanese Navy ordered Mitsubishi to develop an interceptor fighter. Mitsubishi proceeded with the development of the interceptor fighter under the leadership of Jiro Horikoshi, who served as the chief design engineer of the Zero fighter.
The aircraft was required to have the ability to reach high altitudes quickly and reliably shoot down bombers, so it had to be equipped with a high-powered engine and a large-caliber machine gun. For this reason, the "Kasei" engine, originally developed for large aircraft, was selected. To reduce aerodynamic drag, the propeller was placed at the end of the extension shaft from the engine, and the diameter of the nose was narrowed, resulting in a spindle-shaped fuselage with the largest diameter around the cockpit. In order to draw air in through the narrowed nose, a forced cooling fan was attached to the nose of the plane.
The first prototype was completed in 1942. However, the prototype had a fatal problem: abnormal vibration at maximum power. Other problems, as well, took time to resolve. It was not until one year later, in 1943, that the fighter was officially adopted as the "Raiden".
Because of the time it took to develop the aircraft, its performance had become obsolete by the time it was formally adopted. Nevertheless, it still achieved some success, such as shooting down bombers during air raids on the Japanese mainland.
Type 21 (J2M3) was the main production type, equipped with four 20mm machine guns and leak-proof fuel tanks.

[About the work]
The cockpit is roughly reproduced.
I have not verified this because I do not have Simple Planes VR. Sorry.

    @Talon7192 It's kinda like a replica of the real situation, cuz the folding mechanisms of the two front gears are not linked together

    It is made for thumbnail photography. It is an ornamental airplane made to look like a B-29 only in appearance.

    @100 yeah old hydraulic systems weren't as efficient as modern systems
    even aircraft nowadays still have inefficiencies with their hydraulics
    we're human, nothing is perfect!

    @Seemeing
    Thank you very much! I am glad to hear such words from you.
    I downloaded and flew the "Raiden" you created. It is fantastic. Beautiful appearance, fun to fly and responsive, and the cockpit is much more detailed than my Raiden.

    As I am one of the people who have made this aircraft I can tell you that the details are amazing.

    @100
    I do not know the details, but I have heard that the landing gear is stored on one side at a time due to the hydraulic system. A large hydraulic system cannot be installed in a fighter plane, which is required to be small and light, so the landing gear is stored a little at a time on each side.
    However, the J2M's landing gear was electrically driven (hence the many failures in the early days). So it may not be for the above reason. To be honest, I don't know.
    However, news footage from that time shows that the landing gear was stowed at different times on the left and right sides of the aircraft.

    So I reproduced that movement in this work.
