The TF-24 Mantis was designed to replace the TF-18 Jackal and Super Jackals. The Mantis has superior handling and maneuverability compared to the Jackal, and features the same thrust vectoring engines found on the Sea Vixen. The TF-24 also features enlarged leading angle extensions, larger air intakes, and conformal fuel tanks.
