Democracy Class

Democracy class Combat Destroyers is a ship class that forms the main striking force of the Estarian Navy.

These battleships are a one-of-a-kind hybrid-class battleship focused on pure Ship-to-Ship combat

According to NEDI (North Enozion Defense Initiative) Standards, a ship must be between 150 meters and 190 meters in order to be considered a destroyer, but the ship's length of 200 meters makes it a hybrid class.

NEDI Standards are set by the 1990 Upersaq Naval Treaty, ship length standards are as follows

Frigate (LCV): 100m-150m
Destroyer (MCV-CSV-ACV):150m-190m
Cruiser (HCV):190-230m

However, while Democracy class destroyers are classified as Cruisers due to their length, they are classified as warships due to their guns, but are classified as Destroyer by Estaria.

The class takes its name from the first ship of its class, ENS "Democracy".

The air defense of the ship is very strong like a classic Estar ship; while the ship is protected by 10 PARAN LAADS Mark One CIWS, it also houses 4 of the PARAN "TALE" Laser Air Defense System, which is the first operational laser air defense system.

The ship also effectively uses 40 of the PARAN ''GENERA'' Medium Range Air Defense Missiles, and the ship's medium range air defense is completely entrusted to the GENERA system.

The ship's standard anti-ship missile is 90 STARAG NSM-42 ''RECENT''. NSM-42s are the standard anti-ship missiles of the Estar navy.

The ship carries 45 STARAG BGM-92 "Blast" Cruise Missiles for coastal bombardment and tactical ground attacks.

The ship's main armament is, unusually, three MISAR Mark-5 "Longbow" Ray guns.

Today's Estar navy has always rejected modern ship design philosophies in which ship cannons are used as a last resort, and cannons have always been quite powerful, especially on their important platforms.

Longbow guns have 3 barrels just like the designs in the Continental War. Ship guns can send special Ma.82 shells to moving targets with an accuracy rate of 80% up to 170 kilometers, with very strong magnets instead of using gunpowder like conventional cannons.

Longbow cannons are superior weapons, demonstrating the sophistication and level of Estar technology, but they are very expensive.

Operation History

Eight of the eight destroyers sent to the Herenz Guards task force are Democracy

Terms such as democracy or liberalism are often used to propagate against Atrassia.

Atrassia is governed by a unique monarchy type, the system is known as Demonracy or Democratic Monarchy.

Demonracy is essentially an absolute monarchy, but choosing a ruler is highly unusual.

When the ruler dies or decides to resign, the remaining sons or daughters each form their own "Provisional Party".

During the election period, there can be a maximum of 4 candidates. If none of the 4 candidates exceeds 50 percent, the two candidates with the lowest votes are withdrawn from the election.

The candidate who passes 50% in the second election round becomes the king or queen of the country.

If the king or queen has more than 4 children, only the 4 eldest children, or the four children determined by the king or queen, can participate in the election.

If the ruler has only one child, the election is not held, in which case the public has the right to go to a referendum to elect any relative of the ruler.

It is impossible on paper for the monarch not to have a child, because within two years of being elected the ruler has to marry and have children

but if the monarch has no children, a member of the royal family elected by the people rules the kingdom, this event is called the "change of lineage"

If all sons of the monarch are under 18, a member of a royal family to be elected by the people rules the country until at least two of the children reach the age of 18, then the election period begins.

There is no law in Atrassia Royal Laws about what happens when the entire royal family dies, but the complete death of the entire royal family is seen as very difficult if not impossible due to the royal family's size and level of protection.

Demonracy was officially implemented by Atrassia in 1893 and its rules were changed several times.
