About EP-FIC

This aircraft was built in 1975 with the serial number 334 and entered Iran on September 9 of the same year [corresponding to 18 Shahrivar 1354] with the EP-FIC register and was delivered to the Civil Aviation Organization of Iran in order to evaluate the navigation aids and airport equipment.

This flight check plane had an accident and crashed on the evening of March 12, 2012, during the test operation of airport equipment, 4 kilometers from the eastern coast of Kish Island. In this accident, Masoud Jalili pilot (Civil Aviation Organization pilot and director general of the organization's certifications, examinations and medical affairs office), Seyed Mehdi Ahmadi Mousavi pilot (Civil Aviation Organization pilot, co-pilot of this flight and director general of the organization's flight operations), Mohammad Amin Ameri pilot (pilot Civil Aviation Organization) and Vajeyullah Terlani (ACM Flight Security Officer) died.
