SAAB J.19 Light Fighter
This was the standard fighter of the United Kingdom of Sweden & Norway at the start of the UKSN-Se Suomi Imperiumi War in 1935. Considered state of the art at the time with incredible speed provided by her Karlstad Mekaniska Werkstads 12Z geared for driving contra-rotating propellers it could literally fly circles around its Suomi counterparts. However pilot training did not match the new equipment and this aircraft was poorly equipped to drop to low speeds in a dogfight against a highly maneuverable aircraft of more traditional design. Many were lost simply by failing to pull out of a dive attack in time to miss the ground! By war's end 211 of these aircraft were handed over to Se Suomi Imperiumi and were used from 1938 to 1939 as interceptors to destroy Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth bombers entering Suomi airspace. After the war they were relegated to ground instructional machines and training aircraft. In early 1954 however Prince Juho had them tuned up, rearmed and put at the forefront as part of his plan to cause Das Germanishe Weltreich into underestimating Se Suomi Imperiumi. Though they endured significant losses against the Bayerische Flugzeugwerke Bf-133 they served their role remarkaby well for their age. With phase 2 of the plan beginning they have been removed from frontline duty and relegated to their peacetime role anew. *Design Credit to @TheOwlAce with recolor and story added.
