Role: Costal Defense Platform

The CD-147 "Typhoon" defense system was designed as a costal defense platform that was smaller and simpler than keeping warships for home defense. The Typhoon features a MK-47 VLS with 25 cells each containing eight ARX-48K multirole missiles, and features the block 68 version of the MX-748 buzzkill CIWS. The block 68 Buzzkill is equipped with the
MV-19R energy actuated canon firing particle burst rounds. The Typhoon is mostly deployed near shipyards or other costal facilities.

Controls:

ARX-48K missiles can target surface and air threats.

Buzzkill CIWS automatically targets aircraft or other airborne threats
