DNB A-110 P.221 F2
1943 American Naval Bomber. The DNB was a humble plane that aided the Pacific front, Striking critical hits to Japanese vessels with the monstrous 2500lb Torpedo. First seeing its early stages in early 1942 it started as an order by the U.S army for Dyro to construct an easily repairable and agile aircraft capable to land on Carriers, and carry big armaments. First Types had weaker wings, which were soon replaced with stronger, steel core ones, allowing it to reach the huge payload. Able to carry a 2500lb Torpedo, It carried a punch, a devastating one at that. Once it gained air in the Pacific, The Japanese could only pray for the best. This variant here, Is the last one, increasing reliability and overall performance, which was in 1947. The Buzzer made it all the way to 1952, before it was out of military service for good. 119 Running aircraft still remain, which most of are bought by private associates. Pilots of the DNB still remember it with a smile on their face, To them, it was a dream to fly, and stung like a hornet. The thing truly left many in awe of its capability, and going back, it still does. The legend will never be forgotten.
