Story :

ZNS Paltz was the leadship of the Paltz-class dreadnoughts built for and by the Z-Navy in the mid-1910s. The ship was the sfirst of the three Paltz class of "dreadnought" battleships. She was transferred to the Nothern Fleet and remained there for two years before being reffited and modernized.

This modernization lasted from 1929 to 1931 and as such, ZNS Paltz was regularly used for training exercises between the wars, including the annual Fleet Problems (training exercises). The three battleships of the class were virtually identical except in their propulsion. Paltz and her sister-ships were fitted with different engines, and as such, differed in their max-speed.

However, Paltz lacked radar systems, and sufficient AA, despite her modernizations. During a Millitary exercise, in 1935, ZNS Paltz sunked after a shell accidentally exploded in her magazine, causing a giant explosion, that killed three quarters of her crew. The last two ship of the class would, however serve in the Z-navy until 1960 when they were finally scrapped.
