LEVIATHAN Mk III - Ballistic Missile Carrier
Not a traditional bomber, this design is essentially the airborne equivalent of a ballistic missile submarine.
Credits:
The LEVIATHAN BMC is an original design loosely based on the nuclear bomber concept of the early 1960's. Of course, the modifications are the products of you wonderful folk here on SimplePlanes, especially Seme4ka for the wonderful micro-missiles that are the basis of my Fang and Talon missiles batteries, dfsjoe for the weightless mega-fuel tank that I have reinterpreted as the Umbra Reactor, and many others. Very special thanks go out to SnoWFlakEOs, who developed the amazing Shield Generator!
Background Story:
In the sixth cycle of the XIX Dynasty one of the Archon Chancellery's client-states approached the High Command with an unusual request. This particular client inhabited a world that was essentially nothing more than a collection of island landmasses afloat in a massive gas giant's ocean of air. in order to project power in this environment, the government of Eurymede (the Chancellery's client--and the largest nation on the air world of Ophion) needed a vessel that could fly for months at a time without needing to land, travel long distances without outside support, operate stealthily, and carry an extremely large--indeed, potentially nation destroying--load of ballistic missiles. After careful consideration, the Chancellery ultimately selected a long, lifting body design with large forward canards combined with a larger SERAPHIM type multi-wing architecture aft. Thel CONSTELLATION integrated engine system, powered by the UMBRA dark energy reactor was also utilized, to give the new plane virtually unlimited range.
The resulting aircraft, the LEVIATHAN, was a large plane capable of super-cruise speeds of Mach 1 with boosted dashes of in excess of Mach 2. The LEVIATHAN featured several advanced weapons systems, chief amongst which was a battery of 50 TALON long-range cruise missiles. For air defense the plane included 12 HOUNDSTOOTH short-range air-to-air missiles and 24 FANG long-range anti-aircraft missiles. In the direct weapons category, the LEVIATHAN carried two dual beam STAR FIRE-SHOCK CANNON heavy laser weapons, two STAR BURST stern chaser laser cannons, and two STAR LIGHT Needle Lasers. Finally, an all new innovation was fitted to this aircraft: the SNOWFLAKE Shield Generator.
Activation Groups:
1 - Engages the CONSTELLATION integrated engine system, which includes an enhanced gyro-stabilization unit (on whenever AG-1 is active), the advanced QUANTUM DRIVE pulse thrust/boost engine (VTOL bar up), and the anti-gravity GRAVITON VTOL motor (VTOL bar down).
2 - Activates the dual STAR FIRE-SHOCK CANNON heavy beam weapons.
3 - Activated the HOUNDSTOOTH short-range AA missile system (Guardian based).
4 - Activates the FANG advanced AA missile system (Interceptor based).
5 - Activates the TALON advanced AG missile system (Cleaver based).
6 - Activates the STAR BURST stern-chaser pulse cannons.
7 - Activates the SNOWFLAKE Shield Generator anti--missile projector.
8 - Deactivates the STAR LIGHT Needle Beam Laser Cannons, and the main UMBRA reactor, shutting down all active sensors (shown by extinguishing the various engine and running lights).

@MageBear look at this, I hope you're interested in using them.

@DashaP123 As you'll see in the credits section, there are a number of cool mods that I've found from across the Simple Planes site. The newest is the shield generator, which SnoWFlakEOs (I hope I got the name right) posted a few weeks ago. My computer does not allow me to do original modifications, so I look for interesting ones online here. I try to give credit in the write-up when I know who the developer is, as I know that many folks work long and hard on these things, and a bit of recognition is the least I can do.
What mod does this use?
@GhosTerSix Thanks for the upvote.
Crazy very very crazy thing
@jamesBoA Thanks for the upvote!
