Ever wanted to put 4 missiles on a single hardpoint?
Now you can!
Inspired by the 8AAM pods in Ace Combat 7, this saves you the hassle of placing three more hardpoints on each wing, while being a fully integrated weapons system!
This is intended to be used in pairs, one on each wing, so each pod only comes with four missiles. It is fully mirrorable.
The 8AAM is a weapon in Ace Combat 7, which is available for only the F-22 and F-14, and fires missiles at up to 8 different targets. However, since that isn't possible in SP, I just made it fire in a burst of 8.
I used some FT sorcery to make it automatically open and extend the missiles when 8AAM is selected, so no extra action is needed.
I tried it out on many of my older planes as a retrofit and it works wonderfully.
I'd recommend having these set up on a pylon so it can be jettisoned when you run out of missiles. It both looks cool and is practical.
