XF85 Goblin MKII 6.2
So, the infamous Goblin. I built a Goblin as one of my very first published aircraft, now i have returned to it with a brand new build (Wizard2017 beat me to publishing one...). I decided I would see what I could do to evolve the Goblin design into something a bit more useful with the concept of extending its range, useability and general feasibililty.
List of changes from the original Goblin design:
1) Landing Gear
2) Airbrakes (part of landing gear doors)
3) Arrestor hook
4) 2 no. 20mm cannon
5) Removal of machine guns to fuselage (more space for fuel)
6) Drop tanks and pylons
7) Belly tank
8) Afterburning engine
9) omission of dorsal fin
10) Omission of hook to recatch airborne mothership
General idea was that this fighter could be fitted to a mothership that was circling an area, once targets are spotted the Goblin is release, intercepts and then returns to base (or a nearby carrier) rather than the mothership, this resolves the main problem with the parasite fighter which is the recovery.
AG1=flaps
AG2=landing gear doors / airbrakes
AG3=arrestor hook
AG4= (left open for detacher on a mothership)
AG5=lights
AG6=drop tanks
AG7=folding wings

@Thecatbaron Thanks, my last 3 aircraft have been the same for some reason.
This is criminally underrated, needs more upvotes
@jettstorm thanks for the upvotes.
@Anio just because its small doesnt mean it has any less detail than any of my builds =)
How that small aircraft got 700+ Parts 🤔
