About Spring Airlines:

Spring Airlines is a subsidiary of Spring International Travel Service.
The first plane of this airline was an Airbus A320, which was purchased from Lotus Airlines on July 12th, 2005. The maiden voyage was a flight from Shanghai to Yantai on July 18th, 2005. On the same day, Spring Airlines' route from Shanghai to Guilin also set sail together.
As a low-cost airline, in order to save costs, Spring Airlines encourages passengers to buy tickets from its website, which imposes stricter restrictions on the weight and volume of luggage that passengers can carry for free than other airlines, simplifies air tickets and boarding passes, and the average seating distance is 28 inches smaller than other airlines. At the same time, on the plane, Spring Airlines does not provide free meals and drinks on board (free bottled water was provided at the beginning, but it has been changed to charge). Passengers can buy light meals and drinks if necessary. Spring Airlines sometimes carries out sales promotion activities called "Sky Mall" during the flight (except on late-night flights). In addition, Spring Airlines also tried to introduce "station tickets", which shortened the distance between the front and rear rows by modifying seats to increase the passenger capacity by about 40% [4]. However, the plan was shelved due to security problems.
In late July 2009, Spring Airlines began to set up international routes (the first international flight to Ibaraki Airport in Tokyo), which made it the second private airline in Chinese mainland to fly international routes [5]. By 2019, short-distance international air routes connecting Chinese mainland to Japan, Thailand, Cambodia, South Korea and Malaysia have been opened. In the future, it also plans to operate short-haul routes connecting Chinese mainland to neighboring countries.
By the end of the first half of 2017, Spring Airlines had 162 flight routes, including 108 domestic routes (including 7 routes from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) and 54 international routes. [6]
On January 17, 2018, the Civil Aviation Administration issued the Guide for the Evaluation of Portable Electronic Equipment (PED) on Board. Chunqiu will complete the company evaluation as soon as possible according to the evaluation guide and submit it to the competent civil aviation authority for consideration. It is expected that in the first half of 2018, passengers will conditionally use electronic devices such as mobile phones on the plane.
On February 1st, 2018, Spring Festival travel rush officially opened, and all domestic and international flights of Spring Airlines will simultaneously "loosen" the ban on mobile phones. At that time, passengers will use the mobile phone with flight mode turned on during the whole flight. [7]
The logo of Spring Airlines Co., Ltd. is designed with the English initials "S" of Spring Airlines. It is composed of three S's which overlap and cross each other, showing interaction, unity and connection.
