Description
After the relative failure of the AS-14, Asteroid Industries decided to upgrade it but still keep the original design. Totally not copying off the F3H Demon, they added a refueling probe, inverted the slant of the inlets, reduced the armament to make it lighter, upped the power for carrier take-offs (not really recommended), and added a gun after realizing the impracticality of not having one. The AS-14C is the escort fighter variant. While not really meant for air-to-air combat, its missiles and the numbers in which it would be deployed allow it to take on such a role.
