A prototype docking craft intended to be able to translate left and right with [TRIM], and then vary upwards lift with [VTOL]. There isn’t a docking port, mostly because we couldn’t get more than one pilot to cooperate when we said the wing scheme was based on the window shades in each office, and when asked about it, they said “those shades always break if you look at them wrong.” Valansanoid Aerospace Inc. Experimental Vehicle Division has denied reports of uncontrollable and highly destructive dissassembly at random.

OWNER’S MANUAL:

The X-15 Tranzone is no ordinary plane. It is effective as a gyro-stabilized glider with exceedingly high performance at speeds as low as 60 mph, and can be sent upwards with a deflection of up to 45° using the VTOL slider, and then translated left and right relative to a moving frame of reference using a combination of TRIM for translation, and YAW for header stabilization. Activation of the [1] action group toggles YAW-controlled RCN nozzles, [7] allows manual override of thruster nozzle direction, and [8] toggles the gyroscopes. Use THROTTLE to vary the thrust. Input from the throttle is instantaneous, using VTOL Engine technology to prevent turbojet or turbofan lag. Move the VTOL slider slowly to change wing geometry with minimal drag. This also applies to the TRIM slider. Usage of RCN nozzles at low speeds is not recommended, as that will likely result in not going the direction you’re pointed, and thus GTOL-controlled wing panel malperformance.
