With its name translating to “Businessman,” the Shangrén was introduced in 1967 by Yuan Hsu Hangkong to be a cheap, light transport jet above all else. As such, it has a cargo hold that can carry up to 500lbs of goods. The hold itself is located right behind the cockpit, with its hatch coated in light grey paint. The plane’s performance is subpar, with a top speed of 400mph and only 15°/s manueverability. As such, these planes are vulnerable to thieves trying to make a quick score and are almost exclusively found in secure InterPol airspace. With an attractive appearance and low price tag costing roughly the same as a standard delivery van, it’s no wonder why the Shangrén is so popular in civilian circles around the globe.
