The CAC CA-31 was Australia's attempt at a supersonic fighter lead in trainer. only 27 feet long, with a 21' wingspan, it would have had good performance. Sadly, the project was cancelled in 1965, when the RAAF procured the Macchi Mb 326 as an 'all through' jet training aircraft
