Tu-80M Borealis
This Russian bomber the Tu-80M
Conceived as a rapid response to an intense geopolitical threat. When Ukrainian forces neared reached Kursk Oblast, the Russian military recognized a gap in their long-range strike capabilities, particularly in close support and strategic deterrence. Out of this crisis emerged Project Borealis a next-generation bomber focused on versatility, maneuverability, and payload flexibility.
Unlike traditional heavy bombers, the Tu-80M was engineered with a unique emphasis on agility. With its large, swept wings and refined control surfaces, it could perform tighter maneuvers than predecessors like the Tu-22M and Tu-160, allowing it to operate with unexpected precision and adaptability in contested airspaces. Despite its limited top speed of 700 mph, the Tu-80M’s enhanced control systems allowed it to evade missile locks and interceptors effectively, filling a niche between a heavy bomber and an assault aircraft.
Its cockpit, modeled after the Su-34, provided pilots with advanced situational awareness, making it easier to navigate complex missions and coordinate with support units in real time. The Tu-80M could carry a substantial arsenal, from long-range cruise missiles to precision-guided bombs and countermeasures for electronic warfare.
Project Borealis also became a symbol of Russian resilience, embodying a new doctrine of flexible aerial power an asset designed to ensure Moscow’s defense and deter future threats.
Features:
• Rapid speed loss when turning sharply
• Used to be a Su-34 but I gave up half way when I couldn't get right proportions, and engine model, now it's just an oversized Mig Project 701 interceptor.
• Russia!!!
• I think it looks good..?
That's it, happy stalling in low speed!!! ;)
