Description
After the YF-16 won the Lightweight Fighter Program competition, the US Air Force ordered 8 Full-Scale Development (FSD) aircraft to further develop its technologies, of which 6 were single-seater A-models and 2 were dual-seater B-models.
This was the eighth and last of these FSD planes. It would later be modified as part of the F-16/79 Program.
It is here equipped with 2 AIM-9 Sidewinders and 3 Drop Tanks, 2 larger ones and a smaller underbelly one.
