About Lenin Island Commuter Service

The Lenin Island Commuter Service(Krakabloan: Kai Mihe Lenin Commuter) is a train service operated by Northeast Krakabloan Pacific Railroad, a subsidiary of the government owned State Railways of Krakabloa for it's railway operations in the Northeast Krakabloan Pacific Island Provinces. The LICS operates throughout the Province of Lenin Island section of NKPRR and it's provincial capital, Tavitoa, Krakabloa's largest city. The service starts at Coastal Station on Gen. 2ltofWWII and ends at Port Salmon, before the railway bridge to Coastville. It has branches to Pacificville, Thunder Bay, Tavitoa, St. Mary and St. Peter. The rolling stock used are KLCM 12K3 (hauled by KLCM Type 77-221 and GE U10B/6B), KiHa 203, PT INKA Commuter DMUs, KLCM 8732 BEMUs and KiHa 52s. The service was started in 2014 after the Lenin Island section of the NKPRR was completed. The service only operates from 5:07am until 8:36pm and freight and "Moon and Star" Express intercity passenger services operate on LICS routes to and from neighboring northeast Krakabloan provinces from 8:36 pm and 5:07am.

About NKPRR

The Northeast Krakabloan Interisland Pacific Railroad (Krakabloan: Mihe Krakabloa Rai Palo) is a railway company owned by SRK, a state owned railway company. It owns a line from Gen. 2ltofWWII in Province of Lenin Island all the way to
Uva in Province of Uniqueland. The railroad is known as the only operating railway system in Oceania. The railroad operates both cargo, intercity (Sunlight Express and Moon and Star Express) and commuter services in the Northeast Krakabloan Pacific Island Provinces. Much of it's cargo operations are done by other companies, such as Wright Iles Shipping and AeroKrak, which carry sea and air freight from ports and airports to their facilities on NKPRR tracks. It goes through major cities: Thunder Bay, Tavitoa, Coastville, Tauro'a and Seabourg. The railroad was originally constructed in 1889 by the British in New Keewatin for freight services and a small passenger service. In 1947, a few years after Japanese defeat, it was rebuilt for the American armed forces in New Keewatin and Nupalo (Lenin Island) to carry food, ammunition, and soldiers to US bases throughout northeastern Krakabloa. After the Krakabloan Freedom Uprising in 2003, the line was abandoned and was only used for suspension testbeds for Mil-Corp (now KAMCO) on their military vehicles. It was rebuilt in 2011, with the latest progress being reached Tauro'a. The Seaville and Uniqueland sections are still under construction and it is estimated that the railroad will be fully finished in October 2023, in time for the 20th anniversary of the Krakabloan independence from USA and the Krakabloan Freedom Uprising.
