Junkers Ju-88
~~~~OPERATIONAL AT HIGHEST SETTINGS~~~~
(Designed/tested on iPad)
VTOL slider = aft/forward cockpit guns
Group 1 = landing gear (VTOL down)
Group 2-5 = bombs
Group 6 = ballast/thrust nozzles (DON’T ACTIVATE)
The Junkers Ju 88 was a German World War II Luftwaffe twin-engined multirole combat aircraft. Designed by Junkers Flugzeug- und Motorenwerke in the mid-1930s to be a so-called Schnellbomber ("fast bomber") which would be too fast for any of the fighters of its era to intercept. Like a number of other Luftwaffe bombers, it was used successfully as a bomber, dive bomber, night fighter, reconnaissance aircraft, heavy fighter, and even as a flying bomb.
It was fitted with a glazed “beetle’s eye” nose section which housed various mission-specific instruments and equipment. The Ju-88 also had a belly gondola for a rear-facing defensive gun position in addition to the aft and forward-facing gun positions in the main cockpit. For increased payload carrying capacity, bomber variants are of the Ju-88 featured external hard-points below the main wings.
And yet another bomber replica; I think I have an addiction. This was a fun plane to build and recreate. I try to include as many details as I could, but I had to forfeit implementing a bomb bay. Instead, she's loaded out with four 1000 lbs Bombs under the wings. Also, I have finally caved and implement two modded cone pieces. They are purely cosmetic and are courtesy of WalrusAircraft (thanks bud).
When taking off, throttle up and hold back on the stick. Despite being a tail-dragger, it won't take off on its own and will wobble if you don't pull up on the stick. Other than that it's another beautifully flying war machine.
Enjoy!
4,227 GeebersMy friend, you have an addiction to awesome! I personally don't care what type of plane it is, I actually prefer bombers and attackers. The look is spot on and I really like the bombs and the cockpit. I'm starting to get the feeling my "Keep it up!" isn't fully describing what you do! Keep up the AWESOME work! :D9.6 years ago
-
18.6k TeusTop quality as usual! Ps.) You can hook the VTOL thrusters up to brake. That way you won't have to waste an action group on them.9.6 years ago
