Model information

KamAZ-4310 is a large-capacity all-terrain truck of the Kama Automobile Plant, the main model. A significant part of these machines were produced for the Soviet Army. The first batch was released in January 1981 as a labor gift for the XXVI Congress of the CPSU. A total of 273,901 cars of this model were produced.

The equipment can carry out the transportation of goods weighing up to 10 tons: building materials( including bulk), garbage, snow, soil, etc. The load capacity of the KAMAZ 5511 makes it popular on construction sites, when arranging territories and when performing agricultural work.

Design and cabin

The windshield is three-layer, well protects the driver and the equipment in the cab from rocks, strong wind, precipitation.

The structure has springs and is securely attached to the frame. There are two seats inside (except for the driver's seat). It is possible to tilt the cab forward – it is held by a torsion mechanism. In this position, it is much easier to maintain the motor.

At the development stage, the parameters that ensure its uninterrupted operation in conditions of increased loads were initially laid down in the design of the car. As a result, the dump truck met expectations, becoming for many years a "workhorse" on the construction sites of the vast USSR. This was facilitated by the following characteristics of the KAMAZ-5511 machine:

•high cross-country ability that allows you to work off-road;
•uninterrupted operation in conditions of extreme temperatures;
•load capacity of 10 tons and the possibility of its multiple increase when working with a trailer. The car coped perfectly with high volumes of transportation in the mining industry and on large construction sites;
•the presence of a reliable dump truck mechanism allows you to unload the body in just 20 seconds;
•a spacious and comfortable enough cabin that ensures the safety of the driver and passenger;
•a good location of viewing mirrors that allow the driver to control the loading and unloading process;
•the absence of expensive and non-repairable electronic devices;
•ease of maintenance, availability of spare parts and repair kits for all components and aggregates;
•price-quality ratio.
