Bush Bird
9,721 DownUnderWing
7.8 years ago
STOL taildragger designed in Australia to perform in and out of short strips and anything that can support 3 wheels and an airframe.
Fitted with a cockpit allowing you to fly her from the backseat.
VTOL controls flaps (VTOL Down for flap, VTOL Centre for flaps up).
The Bush Bird will takeoff and land at 50mph but keep her above 60mph to maintain enough flow over the surfaces to keep her straight.
She will cruise (75% throttle) at 100mph and stretch out to a swift 120mph under full throttle.
Very capable at aerobatic maneuvres provided you keep the speed up.
Beware of stalls at low level as the high drag wings can get you into mischief.
