Phoenix Industries Project 8124

14.2k Griffon1  3.8 years ago

After the release of Project 8123-02, there was a moderate market for that plane. Although most of the XS series planes at the same price performed equal or better in most fields, it's weapons load made it stand out. After, Phoenix Industries went to work on a more standard and economical Advanced Fighter.
The result was Project 8124

Project 8124 is a high performance combat aircraft which uses advanced variable geometry to sweep back it's delta wings.
Such wings employ a curved, concave leading edge to maximize maneuverability at both low and high speeds. The wings sweep at fast speeds to reduce drag, and the rudder tail stabilizers fold inward to become flush with the wing.
Project 8124 is armed with the usual autocannons and MSL standard missiles. In terms of SP weapon armament, the aircraft is quite specialized, with mostly Air to Air missiles. Including two LAAMs and two QAAMs. It's only Air-to-ground SP weapon is the RCL rocket launcher.
The cockpit remains the same as all my other Project planes, because I'm too lazy to make a new cockpit for every plane I make.
Other functions included are the automatic flap system as seen on Project 8121, and an added functionality to the flaps. Since I mainly use the flaps as airbrakes anyway, I bound them to the Brake function, too.

Have fun!

==CONTROLS==
VTOL down: Extend flaps
AG5: Taxi mode

=TAXI MODE CONTROLS=
Pitch: Foreward/backward
Yaw: Nosewheel steering

Don't worry, I have Project 8125 already built and I just need to write a description for it! Watch for that when it drops!
