XB-73 ''Linebacker'' LRHA Atomic Bomber Proposal
This Aerostyle concept nuclear bomber wasn't found until two months ago, in an abandoned US Air Force airfield. The weapons weren't on the plane, but in the cockpit blueprints, missions, and aramment details were found. It would've had an offensive armament of four Mk.39 30mm cannons and a bomb load of: Four Mk.24 12 Megaton Nuclear bombs, two Mk.27 25 Megaton Nuclear bombs, and one Mk.49 20 Megaton Nuclear bomb. It would've had a crew of three: Pilot, Navigator/Bombardier, and a Gunner. It was to be powered by six Curtiss-Wright CWX-2540 Turbojet engines, and have a top speed of over 600 miles per hour (being designed in the early 1950s, this was fast). No squadron markings were found on the aircraft, but a ''Red 05'' in peeling paint was found on the right side. Action group 1 for Mk.27s, 2 for Mk.49s, and 3 & 4 for Mk.24s. Enjoy! Credit to @Cedy117 for the nose section of the plane.
